Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients and acute cardiac conditions
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and vital signs
- Administer specialized cardiac medications and perform complex interventions
- Educate patients on cardiac health management and discharge planning
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain precise electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care cardiology experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) proficiency required
- Expertise in rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication abilities for patient/family education
