Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac nursing care to critically ill patients in 20-bed ICU unit
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and ventilator settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care planning
- Document patient assessments and interventions using Epic EMR system
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue procedures
- Preceptor new staff and contribute to unit quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid NY RN license (or compact license with NY endorsement)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and cardiac monitoring equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
