Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for post-cardiac surgery and critical cardiac patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and ventilator settings
- Administer precise medications and interventions during emergency situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document clinical observations and outcomes using electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health management and recovery protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Current Ontario College of Nurses (CNO) registration in good standing
- BScN or equivalent with minimum 2 years critical care experience
- ACLS, BLS, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
- Demonstrated expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
