Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients including post-op recovery, monitoring, and intervention
- Administer medications, perform advanced assessments, and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and intensivists to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and recovery protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency resuscitation efforts
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or cardiac telemetry experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Proficiency in ECG interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
