Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures with a focus on minimally invasive techniques.
- Lead multidisciplinary surgical teams during high-stakes operating room procedures.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and anesthesiologists to develop comprehensive patient treatment plans.
- Mentor surgical residents and fellows, contributing to our academic medical mission.
- Oversee clinical department operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols.
- Drive continuous improvement in surgical outcomes through data-driven performance metrics.
- Engage in medical research initiatives and contribute to peer-reviewed cardiovascular publications.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiovascular center.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and experience managing surgical department operations.
- Proven track record in successful complex cardiovascular interventions.
- Strong commitment to patient-centric care and evidence-based medicine.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse clinical teams.
