You will act as the heartbeat of our organization, bridging the gap between strategic HR initiatives and daily employee experience.
In this role, you will lead our efforts in talent retention, organizational development, and compliance, ensuring that our workforce is empowered, engaged, and aligned with our long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and performance management cycles.
- Develop and implement innovative retention strategies to sustain our high-performing culture.
- Serve as a strategic partner to management, providing guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
- Manage HR operations, including benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS data integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California-specific labor regulations.
- Analyze workforce metrics to provide actionable insights on turnover, engagement, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a high-growth startup or mid-sized corporate environment.
- Deep understanding of California labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to navigate sensitive employee relations issues with high emotional intelligence and confidentiality.
- Exceptional proficiency with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, Workday, or BambooHR).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic HR roadmaps.
