Responsibilities

- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and manage reordering processes to minimize markdowns and maximize sell-through rates.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on competitor activities, consumer behavior, and emerging fashion trends to inform buying decisions.
- Assortment Strategy: Curate product assortments that optimize shelf space and drive profitability while maintaining brand integrity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with visual merchandisers and store managers to ensure product displays effectively communicate the brand story.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or category management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and generate actionable insights.
