Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology areas.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure accurate test results.
- Adhere to strict quality control protocols and regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP) to ensure compliance.
- Review and verify test results for accuracy and precision before releasing them to the clinical team.
- Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor entry-level laboratory staff as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related biological science.
- ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent (MLT or MT).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong analytical skills with an unwavering attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
