Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical operations and strategic direction for a 50-bed specialty department
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Lead interdisciplinary teams of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and state healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with hospital administration on budget management and resource allocation
- Represent the department in community outreach and physician recruitment efforts
- Drive research initiatives and publication of clinical findings
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in relevant medical specialty
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in acute care settings
- Active Massachusetts medical license with clean disciplinary record
- Proven track record in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong financial acumen and departmental budget management skills
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement
