Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and last-mile delivery to ensure 100% on-time performance.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with business goals and market trends.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and customs brokers to secure optimal rates and service levels.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a diverse team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to international shipping regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Problem Solving: Proactively resolve supply chain disruptions and mitigate risks to maintain business continuity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics management software (e.g., Manhattan, HighJump).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Analysis: Ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required by business needs.
