Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound freight management.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and warehouse staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with vendors and carriers to negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Analyze shipping data and logistics metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and TMS (Transportation Management Systems) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate reports.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
