Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistical strategies to ensure timely freight movement.
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including route optimization and vendor relationship management.
- Maintain full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and local safety regulations.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-saving process improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a diverse team of logistics coordinators and drivers.
- Manage operational budgets, including P&L accountability for the regional transportation department.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to align logistics output with client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation operations or logistics management.
- Expertise in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ERP software (SAP/Oracle).
- Deep understanding of freight brokerage, warehousing, and multi-modal transportation.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency in high-volume environments.
