Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness across transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to enhance supply chain performance, reduce lead times, and improve service levels.
- Oversee vendor and carrier relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring performance to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Utilize advanced logistics software and analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to align logistics operations with overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present performance reports, budget analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and improving service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, warehousing best practices, inventory management, and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in using Logistics Management Systems (LMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and advanced analytics tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, analyze data, and make strategic decisions under pressure.
- Certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, or PMP are highly desirable.
