Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation strategies to optimize delivery routes and reduce overhead.
- Direct day-to-day operations for a multi-modal freight fleet, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Manage relationships with key 3PL partners, carriers, and vendors to negotiate favorable service level agreements.
- Utilize TMS platforms to track KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven process improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and scale the operations department to meet aggressive quarterly throughput targets.
- Ensure 100% compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials transportation regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supply chain solutions with evolving client demands.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation management, fleet operations, or freight brokerage.
- Proven expertise in utilizing Transport Management Systems (TMS) and data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- In-depth knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing teams of 10+ employees.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex carrier relationships.
- Professional certification such as CLTD or CSCP is highly preferred.
