Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve supply chain performance, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, vendors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms and maintain strong partner relationships.
- Utilize data analytics to identify operational bottlenecks, develop solutions, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant domestic and international logistics regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
- Implement and manage logistics software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS) to streamline operations and enhance visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and improving service levels.
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, warehousing best practices, and international shipping regulations.
- Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and advanced analytical tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
