- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to optimize freight movement and fleet utilization.
- Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring all shipments meet stringent safety and delivery deadlines.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-saving process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of dispatchers, warehouse coordinators, and administrative staff.
- Manage relationships with key carriers and logistics partners to ensure service level agreement compliance.
- Ensure full adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols across all operations.
- Drive the integration of new TMS software to enhance real-time tracking and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations or freight management.
- Deep understanding of North American logistics networks and freight brokerage processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS software (e.g., MercuryGate, Oracle, or SAP TM) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
