Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations and supply chain workflows to ensure 99% on-time delivery rates.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders to negotiate contracts and optimize service levels.
- Analyze shipping data, carrier performance, and inventory trends to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans that align with company goals and market demands.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, DOT guidelines, and environmental standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics coordinators and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Logistics is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with external vendors.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to facilities as needed.
