Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fleet operations including dispatch, routing optimization, and driver coordination
- Implement and maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Analyze logistics KPIs to reduce operational costs by 15% annually
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing high-volume transportation projects
- Develop strategic partnerships with 3PL providers and freight carriers
- Drive sustainability initiatives through route electrification and fuel efficiency programs
- Manage logistics technology stack including TMS and IoT tracking systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
- 5+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics management
- Expert knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and safety standards
- Proficiency in logistics software (TMS, WMS, routing algorithms)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Proven track record in reducing transportation costs and improving delivery times
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendor relationships
- PMP or CSCP certification preferred
