Responsibilities
- Direct daily transportation operations and lead a high-performing team of dispatchers and fleet coordinators.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-effective, time-sensitive solutions.
- Ensure 100% compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety standards across all routes.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate freight rates to optimize departmental profitability.
- Oversee the implementation of advanced TMS (Transportation Management Systems) to improve delivery transparency.
- Collaborate with warehouse leadership to streamline inventory movement and outbound shipping schedules.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce fuel consumption and operational overhead.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation operations or logistics management.
- Expertise in Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA compliance.
- Proven track record of managing large fleets and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in TMS software and data analytics tools (Tableau, SQL, or Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on P&L management and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
