Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers.
- Implement and manage logistics software and technologies to streamline operations and enhance visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of optimizing logistics processes, achieving cost savings, and improving operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and other logistics software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, make data-driven decisions, and solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, APICS CSCP, or similar are highly desirable.
