Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including freight procurement, carrier negotiations, and route optimization
- Implement warehouse management systems and inventory control protocols to achieve 99.5% accuracy
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies to reduce transportation costs by 15% annually
- Manage compliance with FMCSA regulations and develop safety protocols for all transportation activities
- Analyze KPIs including on-time delivery rates, freight spend, and carbon footprint reduction metrics
- Coordinate with customs brokers and international partners for cross-border shipments
- Lead digital transformation projects implementing TMS/WMS platforms and AI-driven predictive analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in transportation/logistics with 3+ years in management
- Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CSCP) or Transportation Professional (CTP) designation
- Advanced proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan Associates, Oracle Transportation)
- Proven track record reducing transportation costs while improving service levels
- Expert knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and international trade regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL and data visualization tools
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation abilities
