Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptualization and feasibility study to prototype development.
- Design and implement complex experiments leveraging machine learning models to accelerate material discovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate novel R&D findings into commercial product architectures.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to derive actionable insights that influence long-term corporate R&D strategy.
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry and technical excellence.
- Document research methodologies and outcomes to support intellectual property filings and patent applications.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related computational field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in high-tech R&D environments.
- Expertise in Python, R, or C++ with a strong focus on data-driven modeling and simulation.
- Proven track record of scientific publication or successfully transitioned commercial prototypes.
- Exceptional analytical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems.
- Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
