Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary team briefings to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety protocols.
- Drive clinical excellence by implementing evidence-based practices and innovative surgical techniques.
- Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and clinical staff through ongoing education and surgical oversight.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic health records and documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Participate in departmental research initiatives and present findings at major medical conferences.
- Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesiology, and ICU teams to manage patient care continuum.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic or Cardiac Surgery.
- Valid Massachusetts Medical License in good standing.
- Minimum of 7 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume cardiovascular center.
- Proven expertise in robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS).
- Demonstrated history of peer-reviewed clinical research and academic contribution.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing high-performance surgical teams.
