We are seeking a visionary Lead Cardiac Surgeon to spearhead our high-acuity surgical team. You will lead complex procedures, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary research team, and help shape the future of cardiac intervention.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-complexity open-heart and minimally invasive cardiovascular surgeries.
- Oversee the perioperative care process to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
- Mentor surgical residents and junior attending surgeons in advanced techniques.
- Collaborate with the Cardiology department on interdisciplinary heart-team decision-making.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and departmental quality improvement committees.
- Manage clinical workflows to optimize surgical throughput and theater efficiency.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum 7-10 years of post-residency surgical experience in a high-volume center.
- Demonstrated expertise in valve repair/replacement and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
- Proven track record of research contributions or clinical teaching.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing multi-disciplinary clinical teams.
