Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures with high precision.
- Provide strategic leadership for the surgical department and clinical research initiatives.
- Mentor junior surgeons, fellows, and residents in clinical and operative settings.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and anesthesiologists to develop individualized patient treatment plans.
- Participate in departmental reviews to ensure adherence to safety protocols and surgical quality standards.
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate high-risk clinical cases.
- Contribute to the implementation of new surgical technologies and workflow optimization.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in a high-volume hospital setting.
- Proven track record in managing complex surgical outcomes and research.
- Expertise in minimally invasive robotic-assisted cardiac surgery.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts.
