Responsibilities
- Perform complex adult cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgeries.
- Lead interdisciplinary surgical teams during high-acuity interventions.
- Drive the integration of minimally invasive surgical techniques and robotic-assisted cardiac platforms.
- Oversee pre-operative planning and post-operative critical care management.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and medical education programs.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient safety and surgical efficacy.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and anesthesiologists to optimize complex patient care pathways.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume cardiac center.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Proven track record of successful outcomes in complex valve and aortic surgery.
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical systems (e.g., Da Vinci).
- Strong leadership capabilities with a history of department management.
- Commitment to academic contribution and clinical research.
