We are seeking a visionary Lead Cardiac Surgeon to spearhead our innovative heart surgery program. You will lead a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment, utilizing cutting-edge robotic-assisted technology to drive patient excellence.
The successful candidate will blend clinical mastery with strategic leadership to push the boundaries of modern cardiothoracic medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex adult cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgeries.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and mentorship to junior surgeons, residents, and nursing staff.
- Oversee departmental quality initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and surgical outcomes.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists to develop comprehensive patient care pathways.
- Lead clinical research projects and contribute to institutional medical innovation strategies.
- Maintain excellence in preoperative assessment, intraoperative technique, and postoperative management.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume cardiac center.
- Proven track record in robotic-assisted cardiac surgery (e.g., Da Vinci certification).
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.
- Active portfolio of clinical research or peer-reviewed publications.
