Responsibilities
- Lead and perform complex open-heart and minimally invasive cardiac surgical procedures.
- Oversee departmental clinical operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and nursing staff to maintain clinical excellence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists and anesthesiologists.
- Drive the adoption of new surgical technologies and innovative techniques.
- Participate in high-level strategic planning for the surgical division.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in high-volume cardiac centers.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a surgical department or hospital setting.
- Strong track record of clinical research and academic publications.
- Current state medical license in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
