Responsibilities
- Perform high-complexity cardiovascular surgical procedures including bypass, valve repair, and aortic reconstruction.
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to junior surgeons and residents.
- Develop and implement new clinical protocols to improve surgical recovery times and reduce infection rates.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and anesthesiologists to determine optimal patient treatment plans.
- Participate in departmental research initiatives and clinical trials.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital quality benchmarks.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care with a focus on evidence-based medicine.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiovascular department.
- Advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive or robotic cardiac surgery.
- Proven track record of departmental leadership and clinical research.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
