Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary clinical teams in pre-operative planning and post-operative care management.
- Participate in departmental research initiatives and implement evidence-based surgical protocols.
- Mentor junior residents and fellows to foster the next generation of cardiothoracic surgeons.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists and cardiac anesthesiologists to optimize patient treatment pathways.
- Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance with hospital accreditation standards.
- Engage with hospital administration to identify and implement new medical technologies.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Thoracic Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in high-volume cardiothoracic surgical environments.
- Proven track record in successful outcomes for complex cardiac cases.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing clinical surgical teams.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice.
- Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgical systems (e.g., Da Vinci platform).
