Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary clinical rounds and contribute to complex case reviews.
- Supervise surgical residents and fellows within the operating theater.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology teams to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and departmental quality improvement programs.
- Maintain high standards of surgical precision and post-operative patient care.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding critical surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current Board Certification in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
- Valid Massachusetts medical license in good standing.
- Minimum of 7 years of post-residency surgical experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive cardiac techniques.
- Proven track record in leadership and departmental management.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy and safety.
