Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
- Drive clinical research initiatives to integrate new surgical technologies into daily practice.
- Oversee pre-operative evaluations and post-operative management for high-acuity patients.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists to develop personalized treatment pathways.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records in compliance with rigorous healthcare standards.
- Participate in departmental leadership meetings to influence clinical strategy and growth.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic or Cardiac Surgery.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a high-volume hospital setting.
- Proven track record of successful complex surgical interventions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a surgical department or academic medical center.
- Strong commitment to patient-centric care and clinical excellence.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Published research in peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals is highly preferred.
