Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries including bypass grafting, valve replacements, and aortic procedures.
- Lead multidisciplinary clinical rounds and contribute to treatment planning for high-risk patients.
- Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and fellows in advanced surgical techniques.
- Drive clinical research initiatives and implement evidence-based surgical protocols.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology teams to optimize patient care pathways.
- Maintain impeccable surgical outcomes and adhere to the highest standards of safety and ethics.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the department’s operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a high-volume academic or tertiary medical center.
- Proven track record of successful outcomes in complex cardiac interventions.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary surgical teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to research and medical education.
