Join the forefront of diagnostic excellence at Apex Cardiovascular Institute. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cardiac Sonographer to spearhead our non-invasive imaging department. In this leadership role, you will perform complex echocardiograms, mentor junior sonographers, and contribute to our commitment to patient-centric, high-precision cardiac care.
You will work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest ultrasound technology, collaborating directly with leading cardiologists to influence diagnostic pathways and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality adult and pediatric echocardiograms with precision.
- Provide clinical mentorship and technical guidance to a team of 6 sonographers.
- Ensure compliance with IAC accreditation standards and rigorous quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and electrophysiologists to analyze complex hemodynamic data.
- Manage departmental imaging workflows and troubleshoot advanced ultrasound hardware.
- Maintain comprehensive patient records using our integrated Epic EMR system.
- Contribute to departmental research initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- RDCS or RCS certification through ARDMS or CCI is strictly required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical cardiac sonography.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or senior-level role preferred.
- Exceptional anatomical knowledge and understanding of cardiac pathologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on compassionate patient care.
- Proficiency in 3D/4D imaging and strain imaging techniques.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
