Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
- Mentor and provide clinical oversight to junior sonographers and student interns.
- Maintain equipment calibration and ensure compliance with IAC accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to interpret complex findings and finalize diagnostic reports.
- Manage daily patient workflow and troubleshoot urgent imaging requirements.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and data collection.
- Ensure a sterile and patient-focused environment throughout all procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized cardiology clinic.
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proven ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative work culture.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
