Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on adult patients.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to sonography staff.
- Maintain equipment calibration and ensure compliance with IAC accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to interpret complex cardiac anomalies.
- Manage daily patient workflow to ensure high-volume efficiency without sacrificing care quality.
- Assist in specialized interventional procedures including TAVR and Mitraclip.
- Ensure detailed documentation and accurate reporting within the EMR system.
Qualifications
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Proven leadership experience or clinical preceptor background.
- Deep understanding of hemodynamics and structural heart disease.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
