Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality adult transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Mentor and supervise junior sonographers to ensure compliance with IAC accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate daily imaging schedules to optimize patient throughput and quality of care.
  • Collaborate directly with cardiologists to provide preliminary findings and clinical insights.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot advanced ultrasound imaging hardware and software platforms.
  • Oversee quality assurance audits and participate in department-wide clinical research projects.
  • Ensure a sterile and safe clinical environment in accordance with HIPAA and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

  • ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification is strictly required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiac diagnostic setting.
  • Proven leadership experience or a demonstrated track record of mentorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related health science field preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with an eye for anatomical detail and pathology.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for patient education and inter-departmental collaboration.
