Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on adult populations.
- Lead and mentor junior sonographers, ensuring adherence to ICAEL standards.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to interpret complex cardiac findings.
- Maintain and troubleshoot sophisticated ultrasound imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation in our EHR system in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the training of cardiology fellows and diagnostic residents.
- Develop and implement new imaging protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
Qualifications
- ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification is strictly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related cardiovascular field.
- Advanced proficiency in 3D/4D echocardiography techniques.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to function effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead clinical teams and manage departmental workflows.
