Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiographic procedures, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler examinations.
- Supervise the cardiac sonography department workflow and oversee daily clinical operations.
- Provide expert clinical oversight and mentorship to junior sonographers and imaging students.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to interpret imaging data and identify pathology.
- Ensure strict adherence to IAC accreditation standards and hospital safety protocols.
- Maintain and optimize sophisticated cardiac imaging equipment for peak performance.
- Document precise findings in the EMR to support rapid patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
Qualifications
- Current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification via ARDMS.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiac setting.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a hospital or imaging facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related health science field.
- Expertise in Stress Echo, Transesophageal (TEE), and congenital heart disease imaging.
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on patient safety and diagnostic precision.
