Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on adult patients.
- Supervise and mentor junior sonographers to maintain departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to provide accurate diagnostic reporting and clinical insights.
- Manage daily lab operations, ensuring equipment calibration and departmental compliance.
- Assist in specialized procedures, including stress echoes and TEE-guided interventions.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Participate in ongoing clinical research and continuous quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiac setting.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a medical team.
- Expertise in advanced echocardiographic software and PACS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
