We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cardiac Sonographer to spearhead our diagnostic imaging department. In this role, you will perform complex echocardiographic procedures, mentor junior sonographers, and contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives in heart health.
You will work in a state-of-the-art facility utilizing the latest GE and Philips ultrasound platforms, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and diagnostic precision.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality adult and pediatric transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Analyze diagnostic findings and provide preliminary reports to cardiologists.
- Oversee daily department operations, including scheduling and equipment maintenance.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor for sonography students and new staff members.
- Ensure compliance with IAC accreditation standards and hospital safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to optimize patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification via ARDMS.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital-based cardiovascular lab.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced proficiency with 3D/4D imaging and strain imaging techniques.
- Proven leadership experience or clinical supervisory background.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
