Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality adult and pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms.
- Operate advanced ultrasound systems to acquire diagnostic-quality images.
- Mentor junior sonographers and oversee daily department workflow.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure accurate clinical documentation.
- Maintain equipment calibration and strictly adhere to ICAEL accreditation standards.
- Provide patient education and compassionate bedside support throughout procedures.
- Stay current with emerging trends in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic technology.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Active ARDMS certification (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care cardiology setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proven ability to lead a technical team and optimize diagnostic throughput.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a meticulous eye for cardiac anatomy.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and HIPAA compliance.
