Responsibilities
- Oversee HR Operations: Manage the full cycle of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Talent Acquisition: Partner with leadership to build a robust talent pipeline, manage job postings, and conduct interviews.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Design and execute performance review processes to drive employee growth and align with company goals.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and organize workshops to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and ATS (e.g., Greenhouse) systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of employment laws and regulatory compliance in New York and the United States.
