Responsibilities
- Design and execute seasonal menus that showcase innovative techniques and local ingredients
- Lead kitchen operations including inventory management, cost control, and vendor relationships
- Mentor and develop culinary staff through training programs and performance feedback
- Ensure adherence to HACCP standards and maintain impeccable hygiene protocols
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to deliver seamless guest experiences
- Participate in menu development for private events and catering functions
- Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate new concepts into offerings
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years progressive culinary experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Formal culinary education from accredited institution or equivalent apprenticeship
- Proven expertise in diverse cuisines and advanced cooking techniques
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen safety protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train and motivate teams
- Experience managing high-volume operations and controlling food costs
- Portfolio of successful menu development and concept execution
- Certification in food safety (ServSafe or equivalent)
