Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal menus that align with culinary trends and local sourcing initiatives
- Lead kitchen staff through mentorship, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety protocols and HACCP standards
- Manage inventory controls, cost analysis, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with FOH team on menu development and service standards
- Train and develop culinary team members on advanced techniques
- Maintain kitchen efficiency during high-volume service periods
Qualifications
- 5+ years progressive culinary experience with 2+ years in leadership role
- Formal culinary education or equivalent apprenticeship certification
- Deep knowledge of Texas regional ingredients and sustainable sourcing
- Proven ability to control food costs while maintaining quality standards
- Strong menu development skills with seasonal focus
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety credentials
