Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Direct daily fleet operations, ensuring timely delivery and optimal route planning across the Midwest.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure driver and cargo safety at all times.
- Cost Management: Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and operational budgets to maximize profitability and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of dispatchers and drivers.
- Maintenance Coordination: Oversee vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance schedules, and repair vendor management.
- Data Analysis: Analyze operational KPIs to identify trends and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorās degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation logistics, or related operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with fleet management software (e.g., Geotab, Samsara) and ERP systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety protocols.
