Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and direct the culinary staff to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Develop and innovate seasonal menu concepts in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all kitchen stations.
- Manage inventory, food costing, and vendor relationships to optimize kitchen profitability.
- Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and mentorship to ensure a high-performing team.
- Manage kitchen logistics, including scheduling and equipment maintenance.
- Monitor food quality and plate presentation to exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fine dining, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of menu development and cost management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Deep understanding of food safety standards (ServSafe certification required).
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills in a high-pressure setting.
- Technical proficiency in modern and classical cooking techniques.
- Degree from an accredited culinary arts program is preferred.
