Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu development and seasonal recipe creation.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory control, vendor relationships, and food cost optimization.
- Train, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of culinary professionals.
- Enforce rigorous food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
- Oversee scheduling and labor cost management to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Lead kitchen services during high-volume periods with poise and technical precision.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume, fine-dining environments.
- Proven track record in a Sous Chef or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, food costing, and culinary operations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Current NYC Food Protection Certificate.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive culture.
