Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure high-level consistency in food preparation.
- Manage inventory, food costs, and procurement to maximize departmental profitability.
- Mentor, train, and inspire a diverse team of culinary professionals.
- Collaborate on seasonal menu development and innovative plate design.
- Enforce rigorous health, safety, and sanitation standards across the kitchen.
- Manage staff scheduling to optimize labor costs while maintaining service quality.
- Assist the Executive Chef with administrative tasks and special event planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end, fine-dining establishments.
- Proven track record in a leadership role (Sous Chef or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of current culinary trends and global techniques.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and food cost control.
- Exceptional ability to remain calm and lead effectively during high-pressure service.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Current ServSafe Manager certification required.
