Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including inventory management, staff scheduling, and quality control
- Develop seasonal menus aligned with farm-to-table philosophy and dietary trends
- Mentor junior chefs through hands-on training and skill development programs
- Ensure compliance with health/safety regulations and maintain HACCP standards
- Collaborate with suppliers to source premium local ingredients
- Manage food cost optimization while maintaining exceptional presentation standards
- Lead kitchen brigade during peak service periods and special events
Qualifications
- 5+ years progressive kitchen experience with 2+ years in sous chef role
- Classically trained with formal culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Deep knowledge of global cuisines and modern cooking techniques
- Proven ability to lead high-pressure environments with impeccable standards
- Strong financial acumen in food cost control and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse teams
- ServSafe certification required, wine/sommelier knowledge preferred
